Best new machine for the money!!,
I have been a quilting instructor for years and a few years ago I was researching for a good machine to use in my classes with certain specifications: easy to use and transport, dependable and durable. So when I was visiting a local quilt shop during a class, I asked if there was an affordable machine the quilters would recommend. I figured they would know if anyone did! Unanimously, the Brother CS6000i was the recommendation. So I asked my hubby for this machine as a gift and he purchased it for me. I’ve had it over two years now and I have enjoyed it immensely; a really great experience all around. I purchased the Janome 7330 Magnolia sewing machine a couple months ago based on customers’ reviews…in particular, the first review here caught my attention…I’m an experienced sewer, and this is my third machine…I’m very happy with it…it’s very easy to thread…after reading the instructions about the various settings/buttons, I found it easy to operate. The stitches are nice; I didn’t have to adjust the tension or anything. It comes with basic attachments/accessories, and there are quite a few additional accessories that can be purchased separately like a ruffler, darning foot, etc.

I love this machine!

I haven’t sewn since high school, and this machine makes it super easy. I love the automatic needle threader. Winding a bobbin and switching out thread takes just a minute or two. Super easy to thread the machine. Super easy to insert the bobbin. (I did have a problem with thread tension until I figured out I wasn’t bringing the thread around the right way). Great stitch options. I’ve been thinking of new projects just so I can use it more!

This is my 1st brand new machine. I had always rec’d hand-me-downs before and they were never good machines to begin with. I would rate myself as a decent sewer. I recently got into quilting. This machine is ridiculous! It does so many things and for this price? If you’re looking for a beginner machine or a little upgrade for the one you have I say go for this!

I’ve bought mine a few weeks ago to replace my Singer 1525. I’ve been sewing for years and yes, older models are a lot better than plastic ones like these. I have worked with Janome (formerly know as New Home) machines for over 20 years. I think I have only seen one jam once! This machine I have owned for 5 years and it has been fabulous. I teach children’s sewing lessons in my home, and this machine never jams, is super easy to use, and is great for ALL LEVELS OF SKILL! I have 4 of this model!

I love the speed governor for children, plus, it keeps me tidy too. The big draw for me with the kids is also the fact that the pre-set stitch buttons above the stitch diagram are so quick and easy. You don’t have to worry about the particulars of a setting on a stitch, you just go right to it, be it zig zag or straight stitch or overcast, you jump right to it!

So far however, the Janome MC9500 machine does everything I believe I will ever need and it does it all well. I love all of its many special, built-in stitches and am extremely happy with its overall performance.
This machine holds the tension (yeah!!!) so I can now retire my 35 year old workhorse that has always had tension issues. This machine is heavy, which to me is a big plus because it won’t be moving around or wobbling.
